Many mistakes.

Sunset Shimmer, the wedding, Nightmare Moon and mostly the first two.

That's all I know.

Good to know a like-minded individual
Care to elaborate?
(this will probably help people who disagree with you respect your opinion, in the long run)

Actually, a lot of people didn't like the wedding (well, only the end of the first part).
There wasn't an apology at the end. Heck, she knew very well how Cadance was all of her life and she didn't notice that something was off.

Now with Sunset. First off, the two were wrong. Sunset was arrongant and unfriendly, however Celestia instead of trying to talk with Sunset, she showed her the mirror. A fatal mistake which lead to EQG.

Nightmare... I think there's something else about that. I mean, what if the transformation of Luna into Nightmare wasn't because of jealousy, but rather something like this.

3395883
That's what I was thinking!

3395915
Eh, something along those lines.
I mean the one who should know everything there is to know about Luna would NOT try to find out what is causing her depression?
BULLSHIT!!!!!
I suspect foul play there:trixieshiftright:
Also, she sent Discord to catch Tirek? That shows how stupid she can be when it comes to war. I mean you might as well have given Equestria to Tirek on a silver platter with that choice:twilightangry2:

3395933
Um, what? I didn't catch that.

3395936
What I mean is maybe she wanted Luna out of the picture, and this gave her the perfect excuse to do so. After all, history is merely written by the winners. :trollestia:
But we are getting off topic

3395975
Um, why don't post this in a group thread?
There will be other users that can answer your question.

Eh, because then I can't make my own rules without being criticized for it

Got a new topic if you want to check it out:pinkiesmile:

No. I believe Celestia is a incompetent lazy ruler who likes to sit on her throne and have others do her dirty work. She basically sits there and tells Twilight what to do for the first 4 seasons. Go to Ponyville and finds friends to beat my sister. Go get elements that I've used for over a thousand years and for some reason decided not to shield them from a being of chaos that I knew would return. Or how about the part of take my power to beat a monster named Tirek that I could have just gone and beat myself before he got any power.

Oh, you mean like this bitch?

3414382 Yeah, there ya go, you get my point. What has Peach ever done except getting kidnapped a billion and one times?!

You submitted evidence on one of my blogs supporting your claim of Celestia being inadequate. Allow me to present my counterargument.

Let's start with the wedding. You claimed:

Also the fact that she hosted a wedding in the middle of a time of war. Completely disregarded Twilight's warnings, and never even apologized for it.

OBJECTION!

First of all, there was no war. Shining Armor only stated that a threat had been made against Canterlot and they had buffed up the security. Sure, one could argue that the threat would give them ample cause to cancel the wedding, but we have no idea when the threat was made. For all we know, it could have been made a few days before the scheduled time wheres the wedding itself (between a Princess and Captain of the Guard) would have likely taken months to plan. So rather than call the whole thing off, they did the next best thing: buff up the security and put up a shield.

Second. You claimed that Celestia disregarded Twilight's warnings about Cadance. I've rewatched that episode several times, and ultimately came to the conclusion that Twilight was the one in the wrong there.

She just barged into the wedding rehearsal and immediately started accusing Cadance of being evil, using evidence that was circumstantial AT BEST. (she was mean to my friends, her bridesmaids are gone, and she made my brother look weird.) And she just expected everyone to believe her on the spot with no concrete proof. Shining Armor and Celestia had every right to call her out on that.

Yes, she was right about Cadance being evil, but it was for a completely different reason and can't be credited to any brilliance on her part. It was just blind luck; she didn't know anything about the changelings or Chrysalis, just that Cadance was being a jerk. If she wanted to do a better job, she could have brought her concerned to Celestia in private before the rehearsal or spent some time collecting actual proof.

The one who needed to apologize was Twilight. Not Celestia.

Actually, I'm sure Twilight needs to apologize, too. But Twilight knew the original Cadence best, so I would think that it would stand to reason that her accusations might well be something worth looking into. Also Cadance is Celestia's niece, so it would also stand to reason that she would notice that something was off with her. All-in-all I think Celestia just shows poor character as well as Twilight for not apologizing for at looking into the things Twilight brought up and just dismissing any notion that something was wrong with Cadance.
BTW what about my other arguments? This is just one of them you're addressing.:rainbowhuh:

Again, totally respect your opinion. Thanks for commenting, too. It's nice to see a fresh perspective of things.
