So I have part of an idea. It's based on
Luna's Nightmare by Vavacung (Inkbunny here and Deviantart here). To do it the way I have in mind, it would require at least two stories, both with the same starting concept: Luna is pregnant. It is a surprise to her, especially the first time, since she had not been with a stallion recently (if at all). After eleven months and all the discomfort of pregnancy, she finally gives birth to a brand new baby Nightmare Moon. The second would take place some time later. Less of a surprise, but still quite a frustration. This time she would have Tantabus. So in the end of it, Luna would now be a mother of two, both of which are entities tied to her now born as full fledged ponies.
Thoughts?
If a weird magical mishap was how they were born... and technically Twilight was the father :D:D:D
It could be an interesting concept to run with depending. Are they innocent children with the appearance/powers of there predecessors or do they retain personality/memories of there former lives?
edit: to further my Twilight comment luna could go to Twilight to examing if trace energy from the two was still present after a series of nightmares Luna coudn't controll. Magical oopsies and BAM. Weirdest family ever. You could even do it as one story with twins.
That is a great idea and I think you should make it. This could be a great comedy.
Yes! Go for it:D
That sounds hella awesome. Would this be a sequel to anything, or a stand-alone?
3388461 My idea is that it would be on its own, although I could technically tie it to A Nightmare Returned.
3388724 Yeah ... I don't know if it would be wise to or not ... it could go either way on which would be better. You've got the desires for a sequel, but this could potentially (key word, there) subvert the ending of ANR. I guess it might be best to make it ambiguous ... include some characters and situations from A Nightmare Returned - such as Chocolate Cherry and the Sparkling Cider 'ship - but not quite confirm that it is a sequel.
