This is a thing that still exists. I haven't posted on /mlp/ in a while and don't visit as often as I did before (but if anyone asks, I'm always lurking). I would apologise for not having said much for almost a whole year but don't pretend you care and don't pretend you didn't all forget about me. I love you all the same.
It feels strange that it's been almost a whole year since I stopped updating 'A Nor/mlp/erson in Equestria' and stranger still that I never finished it. I never even continued after I stopped what I wrote on /mlp/ that day in September. None of the old writefags did. I kind of miss it all, and I kind of miss them and their stories. Especially the one by (a) 'Rarifag' about Claire. God damn, many fun late nights had reading those.
Once upon a time, I considered bringing it back. I considered making another thread on the anniversary of the very first but then realised that it probably wouldn't last very long. Very few people would remember the story and even fewer would be interested in reading everything that I've already written to catch up. So fuck it, looks like the only way that story is continuing is when I decide to write the prose. I swear to christ, it'll happen one day. Even if HorseFellow Jr has to carry the legacy after I'm dead it'll get released one day. Feel free to fucking bother me literally every day until something gets done.
If any of you ever went to regularly check my pastebin, you'd notice that it's all gone. Which is a lie, technically it's not gone I just made everything private or unlisted. Which includes the original version of 'A Nor/mlp/erson in Equestria' and that god-awful 'You Hear Rainbow Dash Crying' story. There were a couple of times when I saw someone (not sure if it was ever the same OP) post the same prompt on /mlp/ and every single time I saw it, my name would come up. Or, at least, someone would say something like "that story was fucking awful", even if they didn't know me by name.
I hate it.
And to be honest, I hated it at the time too. People kept telling me to keep going and I was just sitting in my chair knowing that I was making the wrong decision. So sorry, but I won't be restoring that one any time soon.
I think fingerbang still have a copy up though, if you really give a shit. Whatever happened to fingerbang? They moved here and never came back to the board by the looks of things. Shame, really.
Anyway, so nor/mlp/erson is gone because I want to completely rewrite most of it. Because back then I had an idea but I made up a lot of it on the spot. Also, there are things and ideas from the new season of the horse show that I can actually use in the story because - what do you know - there was a character in an episode of season 5 who had an involvement that was very similar to a character who would have appeared in a future part of nor/mlp/erson.
Ain't that spooky.
So I've got some good news. I got back into writing recently, practise for prose. Two short stories on the way. One is an expansion of something I was writing on /mlp/ recently. If someone caught a thread including a few posts of writefaggotry about a filly from Our Town going through the equalisation process? That was me and I decided to write it in full because why the fuck not, ay?
Second is a prologue to nor/mlp/erson about Silver Spanner. A short story about the day before the humans arrived in Equestria. I really like Silver Spanner god dammit. I was so tempted at one point to make a whole story just based around her and drop the Humans in Equestria thing all together. Instead, I settled on something to lead into the "big one", because when I say "big one" I mean; sorry, but you might literally be waiting here for over another year before this story is finished.
So there you have it, the update that one of you has been waiting for.
