First Day of School...yay... · 8:17pm Aug 17th, 2015
Today was the first day of this school year. Well, at least it is for me. I know this is none of your business and it doesn't quite affect you in any way, but I had some interesting findings at school. And some of them are pretty hilarious, so I thought I might just share them.
So first, I went to math. Nothing big there, just did a few math problems with my new group. Then, I went to language arts and this is where it gets interesting. You know Silver Lining from PtH? Yeah, my language arts and social studies teacher reminds me of Silver, a lot. The first thing he did was tell us to line up in name order, then he disappeared. Then, after we kind of failed, he told us that we should've asked whether he was referring to first name order or last name order. Turns out he was thinking first name order, and we lined up in last name order, so we failed. He was really tricky, but he also made us laugh our heads off with his witty remarks.
Then, I went to band and guess what? We had a welcome back dance party. Apparently, we are also wind ensemble, the most experienced band in our school, and we were dancing to loud techno music in class. Not to mention that it was our teacher who kind of started it, since she was the kind, patient type. But still, it was only for a few minutes, and it consisted mostly of a crazy group of saxophone and clarinet players jumping all over the place while the rest of us, including me, just stared at them. I'm a flute and percussion player, by the way.
Science was okay. My science teacher has some pretty cool stuff laying around the classroom, and she let's us use it anytime we want, as long as it doesn't get out of hand. There's even a couch, some 'brain toys', a yoga ball to sit on, and some really strange chairs that are made for you to kneel on. So overall, science sounds like a nice, interesting class for this year.
So that's how my first day of school went. Not too bad, right? Well, it was better than I expected. Hopefully I get good grades this year...so that I can go back to writing. Anyway, that's all for now. Bye!
