Well I'm happy to help you Let's start with the icon s on the top first The browse helps you search for what type of story you want, the other icon is the envelop which is where you get your letter from, the next one the globe is where your feed is where it tells you what your friends blogs is what groups your involved in and also what forms comes from the groups too, and finally the one that's a bell is your notifications it lets you know that people are watching you, or they send you an invitation to there groups, or that some one commented on your user page, and that's what those four icons mean on here I hope that's a big help to you
