Season 5 Episode 13: "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?"

Ah dreams, oh I love them. The episode was surreal with the lucid dreaming. I remember my lucid dreaming and let me tell you, even if you know you are dreaming it is very difficult to awake and control the world around you. Hell I tried to dream up Rainbow Dash and all I got was an blue skinned girl with heterochromia.

There was a lot of things I liked with this episode. The Alicorn Tantabus gave me a nice flashback of Princess Mononoke. It was nice seeing the various dreams of the mane six and I have a feeling that Fluttershy will spawn a lot of Bondage fics. Although the Luna Arc does not seem that well done to me. I get that people self willing torture themselves from guilt but something feels off.

This episode was amazing to me as well, but Luna's explanation as to why Tantabus was created was a bit too off. I mean they could have just stated that she made Tantabus in order to make sure she never becomes Nightmare Moon again. It wouldn't detract from the power of the episode, the message still wouldn't be lost and it would make the whole thing jusr a bit less offputting. Atleast that's what I think
