Just saw Star Trek Beyond and...

I got to say that Star Trek Beyond is worth seeing( and that is all i hve to say about the movie but...) got to say that the villain was weak overall and should have been better ,but tht is it the only thing i didn't like abou tthis movie.Sorry but Khan is better villain this time around. -It's actually kinda cool to see Sunset Shimmer take over pony Twilight's place in the group. The music's also interesting. Similar to the first tracks we heard from RR.

I do like these twists here. The Crystal Empire equivalent being a different school and EqG-Twilight attending that one and playing against the "humane 6" - sure didn't expect that, but I like it already. That's even before we get to the impressively epic competition disciplines.

I say they picked just the right time to play the EqG-Twilight card. EqG1 was about introducing the setting, RR was about developing Sunset and integrating her into the "humane" cast, and now 3 can be very interesting indeed. EqG-Twilight set against Sunset there - it will indeed be interesting how they end up interacting, given that Sunset's taken pony-Twilight's role for the "humane 6" group.

Also, EqG-Twilight seems to follow pony-Twilight's repertoire in coming in contact with powerful magic and artifacts and stuff. I actually like it too.

All in all, promising stuff. I was looking forward to the movie as it is, now I'm even more intrigued, all in a good way. No overblown expectations, though - I just want to see what they'll give us, not construct some pretty headcanon that will go the way of the Hindenburg come release day.
