Stealing The Oats · 11:36pm Jun 14th, 2015

So I wrote part of a story called Stealing The Oats, but I don't have the willpower to finish it. If anyone wants to finish it, you can read it below. BTW, please credit me if you do. BYE!

Stealing The Oats

Lightning flashed, rain boomed outside. Rain smacked any pony that was foolish enough to go outside. Unfortunately for Lyra, she was the pony that was foolish enough to go outside. She had been attempting to save her lyre from the horrendous rain outside, but had ultimately failed. The lyre was ruined. Why, of all the days she could have forgot her lyre outside, she had to forget it today!
Lyra walked into the modest one-story building she and Bon Bon called home. Bon Bon was out for the week, some Baker’s Fair, so it was all Lyra’s for the time being. Lyra shook all the water off of her akin to a dog. Her coat and mane then in turn fluffed out like she had been electrocuted.
Lyra walked into the kitchen, eager to see what stress food awaited her. Something sweet. Of course, Lyra mused, there will be something sweet, I’m best friends with a candy-mare. Lyra’s thoughts came to a halting screech when she opened up the pantry door. There were no sweets at all! Nothing! Nada! Ziltch! All there was was some dry crackers, a couple of oranges, and a slightly rotten looking banana.
“Bon Bon’s Baker’s Fair! She said she would be taking most of the sweets, but not all of them! Gah! What am I gonna eat now?” Lyra exclaimed angrily (and loudly, if I might add).
Suddenly, something shiny and new looking caught Lyra’s attention. She investigated further, putting a investigation hat on that had been conveniently lying around.
The shiny object turned out to be a tin metal box with fancy trims and decorations. The box was labeled to be “Celestial Oats: Delicious Crunchy Oats That Have Been Satisfying Since 1926”. Lyra’s mouth watered. Bon Bon’s Celestial Oats! Lyra suddenly had a flashback.

“Whatever you do, do NOT eat my Celestial Oats. I’m saving them for an important occasion. You got that, Lyra?” Lyra nodded absentmindedly, looking out the window. Was it her, or did she just notice that Pinkie Pie had hair that was shaped like Silly String?

The flashback came to an end.
