Apple Bloom Becomes Boring · 4:32am Apr 22nd, 2015

Here's a writin' snippet thing.

“C’mon, let’s go crusading!” interrupted Sweetie Belle. She smiled cheerily while hopping in place.

“Need ta do homework.”

Scootaloo scrunched her muzzle. “Really? We have like a week till it’s due.”

“Yeah!” agreed Sweetie.

“Meh. Ah’m having fun.” Apple Bloom shrugged before returning to the assignment, a book report regarding the proper procedures on preparing a proficient book report. Her friends cautiously looked to her flank, probably expecting a homework cutie mark. “Ugh. Fine. Let’s go crusadin.”

“Now that’s the spirit!” cheered Scootaloo. “Let’s go- wait what?”

Apple Bloom casually tossed Scootaloo and Sweetie over her shoulder. Placed on the earth pony’s backside, Apple Bloom carted them outside her family’s living room and out the front door.

“Put us down!”

“Meh,” yawned Apple Bloom as the house behind her exploded.

Wooden beams and broken concrete fired everywhere, coincidently leaving the fillies unharmed. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle gaped at the tremendously large crater that now resided in Sweet Apple Acres.

The smoke sauntered up to the sky. Apple Bloom ignored the burning house, and decided to rub her chin. “Ah know! Ah bet we can get our cutie marks by readin’ some textbooks.” Before her friends could speak, the filly had begun to march. “Ah’m sure Twilight’s new castle has ‘em.”

Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo looked to each other, both baffled and worried. Something was wrong…

oOoOo

The trio trotted to town towards Twilight’s towering castle. Apple Bloom’s friends were whispering quietly behind her, failing to hide their worry.

“… Ya’ll okay?”

Sweetie eyed Scootaloo before trotting beside Apple Bloom. She took a deep breath. “Your house exploded!!!” Sweetie screamed.

Apple Bloom sighed, before resuming her mechanical march. “Nopony ain’t hurt.”

“Y-your family!?”

Apple Bloom pointed across the market district. Applejack, Big Mac and Granny Smith were yelling at several weather ponies, probably discussing the sudden loud explosion from Sweet Apple Acres.

Looking far behind, Scootaloo spied Rainbow Dash, directing dozens of pegasi putting out the burning remains from the distance.

“Safe, like ah said.” Apple Bloom yawned lightly. Satisfied with the stunned silence, she sauntered around Sweetie and Scootaloo.
