You know I've been wondering about this for a while now and its kinda been bugging me.
I know that a 'mature' rating on a story without a 'sex' tag is for stuff like language or violence. And if you have both a mature and a sex tag it is for well.... sex. But what is in a story with a sex tag but without a mature rating?
Is it for really sensual stuff? Or maybe the sex is implied? And if a story shouldn't have a sex tag with no mature rating then why make it so that the author can check one without the other?
Yeah the answer I'm looking for might be posted out there somewhere but I'm too lazy to go and find it.

I believe you can't post a story with a sex tag without changing the rating to mature, but I haven't confirmed it.

well I'm kinda asking because currently my story has the 'sex' tag on it but with a teen rating..
Thats why I'm not sure
229047 229051 Just tested it, and I suppose it can be used with teen stories. Implied sex doesn't seem it would need a sex tag and would very well be deceiving, but I suppose it can be used as such.

229064 No problem. Also did a quick browse through Wanderer D's recent post about ratings. The way he quickly explained it is that it's for non-descriptive sex scenes.
