My dragon aging theory. · 10:56pm Apr 2nd, 2015
Since I have Spike in my newest story as a main character, I decided that I would explain my theory of how dragons age. This theory is most likely not canonical, so take me theory as just my theory and nothing more. xD
Anyhorse. (See what I did there? Ehhhh? Okay, I'll stop. :0)
My theory is that Dragons grow (physically) to a certain point and then stop. At that point, they only grow with how much greed they succumb to.
Spike, for example, will never grow beyond the size of a single story house if he never succumbs to greed. Meanwhile, the Dragonshy Dragon is the size of a three, maybe even four, story house.
And with that out of the picture, I take it that dragons age *slightly* faster than ponies, as evident in Spike's maturity and size.
Spike has the maturity level of a 12-18 year old and the Mane 6 have the maturity levels of 16 to 24 year olds. (it fluctuates because cartoon logic)
Spike would technically be 8 years younger than everypony else, but he ages faster maturely - which means that he ages faster physically too.
EXCUSE MY JUMBLED THOUGHTS, I'm better at story writing, I swear. ;-;
