    A wild interface update appeared!

Well, this is a fine how-do-ya-do! :pinkiehappy: Now I can still follow stories I don't like enough to fav but still want to support without cluttering my 'Read later' queue. Much obliged, mods!

So...I have this story... · 6:53am Mar 29th, 2015

But I'm not sure whether or not I should post it. Stop me if this sounds familiar: self-insert Human In Equestria, where I'm turned into a pony and-

Stop? Okay.
I've just been writing it for something to do, but now I've completed the first chapter (which is a lot more finished than some of the other stories on my comp). I just don't want the hate to be too intense. I'm putting my own spin on quite a few fanons and headcanons (which I must admit is a particularly active habit of mine).
Wait, romance? :rainbowhuh:
Eeh...not exactly...I don't care for smut if that's what you mean. :coolphoto:
So, here's a sneak preview:

I have often dreamed. My mind wanders to places unreachable, places where incredible feats are routine every week or so, and where enchantment runs rampant in the streets. Oh, how I long to visit a place like that. To leave this ‘reality’ where a great work of art can be in your mind until the day you die because you couldn’t put it on paper.
…or because your parents said ‘your imagination holds no sway in the real world’.

...

Suddenly, my vision was obscured by a wall of pink that said “Hi!”
“Gah, Pinkie!” I shouted, jumping back and teetering briefly on two legs. I landed on my back with a thud, and in an instant Pinkie Pie was peering down at me, her head upside-down from my perspective.
“Oopsie,” she said, “didn’t mean to scare you like that.”
I turned over, and she gave me her hoof to help pull me up. And then she asked, bubbly smile never leaving her face, “Are you psychic?”
“U-uh…” I stammered, blinking a couple times, “what? Uh, no, I don’t…think so.”
“Oh.” the pink party pony’s smile momentarily faltered, and then she asked, “If you’re not psychic, then how’d you guess my name?”
“W-well…you’re-” I paused to regain some fraction of my composure, “you’re very…well, very pink. It’s not that hard to guess.”
Pinkie looked over herself as if to confirm my observation, and made an understanding “Oooh!” noise, brightening up again shortly thereafter. I tried to stifle a giggle, it was too…Pinkie.
“Oh!” she exclaimed suddenly, “Now lemme try and guess your name!”

(The next is from chapter two (Still WIP) ...)

“So, uh…do…do you know where there’s, like, a hotel or something?” I blinked rapidly. How long have I been walking? Surely I couldn’t be this tired? “’cause…’cause I…don’t” I felt a sudden, burning pain in my stomach, “I…don’t feel so good…”
I clutched at my stomach with both forelegs, falling onto the ground before things went blurry.
And then, blackness.

When I opened my eyes, my vision was blurred and I felt as if there was a fire pit where my stomach used to be. I heard voices from far away,
“-fine as long as he eats something.”
“Alright, thanks again so much for coming.”
There was a loud slam, like a door closing. I groaned from the pain in my stomach. Then a mint green blur entered my vision.
“Hey there, you okay?” it said.
“I…had a weird…” My world seemed to swirl, colors flowing and dancing across my vision. Lyra’s head came into focus. “Oh…never mind.” I said, the day’s previous events flooding back to me.
