What I've been up to.

As you've probably noticed, I don't often write blog posts, but since I haven't said anything in over a month, I probably should say what I've been up to. NB This is long.

Thanks to all of you guys that have subbed, favourited, up-voted, commented or even just read my very first fanfiction. I didn't know what to expect and needless to say, I didn't expect such a good reception. As such, this as spurred me into keep writing. I did consider writing an epilogue to tie up loose ends and I still could. If you guys really want me to write a 1kish epilogue, I will go ahead and write one, but I feel it is almost too late to. Again, it will be in the same sort of Happy-Sad style of just trying to make you feel good inside.

I also want to thank my pre-reader RussellLawliet for taking the time to read it, edit it and make suggestions to improve it. He's very nice and is helping me with my new fic. If you want a pre-reader go and annoy him, he won't mind.

I have been currently writing a genre of fic that is avoided at all costs and for a very good reason. OC/Main Character shipping fics are hard. It is very tempting to make an OC overpowered and Mary Sue, but I've tried to do it differently. I've taken strong insperation from two different sources. The first is what caused me to write the new fiction, a song called Applebuckin' by Aviators. That man is amazing. The second is an amazing fic called Apples'n'Wrenches by the Write Bros. They have managed to pull off an oc/main and get it on EQD.

The are several reasons why it is taking me to uploade my fic. The first being, I am trying to write a few chapters before I upload the first, that way if I go slowly you still have something to read while I write the future ones. Secondly, I've been working on a podcast with a friend where we interview fic authors. Check us out. Thirdly, I have been hanging out in the Everfree Radio IRC and getting distracted. Finally, I keep getting distracted because I'm at a boring part in writing. I'm not a fan of writing bridging parts between key events.

Anyway, this is getting ridiculously long. I'll end with two things. 1) If people want a short preview of what I'm writing, I might post a blog post with an exerpt from my newest fic. 2) If people would rather me write an epilogue first, then I will.
