Boss of the Week #3: Meta Ridley

Yesssss. The penultimate boss of Metroid Prime, one of the greatest sci-fi games games ever, Meta Ridley is a beast by every definition of the word. He'll open with missile strikes and plasma breath attacks, while also flying far beyond the reach of your weapons. His only weak point is his chest, which you'll inevitably be hammering with Super Missiles and Plasma Beam shots. He occasionally do rapid, fly by missile strikes, blasting apart pieces of the environment, fortunately providing you with health and ammo pick-ups.

Once you get his health low, his wings with fail him, and he'll fight you head-to-head, striking with charges, claw and tail swipes, and more plasma breath attacks. Now, you must stun him by blasting him in the mouth, then unloading into his chest when he rears up, eventually leading to a very satisfying finish with giant death laser blasting him all once, forcing into a horrible fall to his death. A fall that he couldn't possibly get back up from.

Right?

As a side note, giant robot space dragons are f**king radical.
