Ember Eyes. ( Poem. ) · 10:07pm Feb 24th, 2015
Ember Eyes!
The time has come for us to die
In the shadows where they whisper their lies
With our demise.
Ember eyes remind
That the time is unkind
The crow's crooked rhyme
Will never sound sublime.
Hear our plea will be
A heartfelt end decree
Where a child will not retreat
From the defeat of their farther
Ember eyes!
A time has come for us to lie
We will hang these knotted ties
And some may live but most will die.
Ember eyes, come to me
Ember eyes, come to me
Ember eyes, come to see
Can-a you, can-a you come to see,
As we were once blind
In the light now you can sing?
In our hatred we can rely,
And history will now repeat.
Ember eyes, come to me
Ember eyes, come to me
Ember eyes, come to see
Can-a you, can-a you come to see,
As we were once blind
In the light now you can sing?
In our hatred we can rely,
And history will now repeat.
