Dreams? · 12:44am Feb 2nd, 2015
I have no idea where this came from it just happened.
Ok so everyone has had that dream where youre falling and right before your about to die you suddenly wake up in a panic. Well I think I may have figured out way that happens beyond a biological and scientific point.
When you are about to die in a dream your body will automatically wake itself up. Im guessing it does this as a defense mechanism to keep itself alive, because what would happen if you did die in the dream? Would it send you into enough shock to die in real life? or would you go into some kind of permanent comatose state slowly going mad as you stare into nothingness?
But what if our awake lives are dreams and our dreams are real? How would you know? What if our brains trick us into having near death experiences and fogs our memories so we cant tell? We would never know until we truly died, and in all honesty if it was really like that it would definitely solve the religion issue pretty quick. Because if our minds are complex enough to create two alternate realities where your life, name, and possibly everything you could imagine are different down to finite details then it shows that we could be our own god and we rule over our own domains.
