Just so I can say that I saw this coming:
From what we have seen in the season 5 sneak peaks, it looks like the new villain, at least for the S5 pilot, will be the more-or-less cliche villain who is obsessed with order and equality. An example from contemporary media would be Aman from the Legend of Korra. Since all the ponies allegedly have differing cutie marks and therefore differing destinies, it is likely that, sooner or later, some communist would show up wanting everypony to be the same. Given the "=" cutie marks, I can see no other option. This villain is obviously going to be very powerful if he can alter a pony's cutie mark, perhaps more so than Discord, though that is unlikely. In any case, I suppose we'll find out if I'm right in the spring. I hope to get a story up by then.
