An explanation · 3:52am Jan 17th, 2015

You know, for the better part of a year or two, most of my blog posts have been me bitching and raging at the whole concept of Twilicorn. Yet, I never have given an explanation as to why I hate the change so much. Indeed, back then, I didn't know why I hated it so much; it was just some deep rooted feeling that I could never explain.

However, after reading some tidbits on some of the S4 episodes (at least from what I gathered from comments and story descriptions), I think I can figure why I hate Twilicorn.

It's pointless.

This change, it was completely unnecessary. Back before S4 aired, you could have argued that Twilight being a princess would bring a new dynamic to the show. However, from what I've gathered, these episodes seem to be something similar to what we would see in the past seasons. Sure, the premier and finale sort of took advantage of that. But, do you think it would have been difficult to come up with something else?

"But Pax, she's still Twilight. Why are you still bitching about it?"

Well, if she's not going to change in terms of personality, why bother changing her appearance? Was this really necessary in the first place.

I'm just saying: was princesshood really the only route the writers could take? I mean, Princess of Friendship? Really?

And don't get me started on Equestria Girls.

Phew, that felt good, truth be told.
