Do you know what i hate about large manufacturing companies? they waste your time and charge you for it.
"i'm sorry" apologizes the person at JB hi fi "we don't stock singular cases for your brand of laptop"
"do you know where i can get it?" i ask looking at my laptop that is currently spilling its guts through a broken backing
"well HP don't sell their individual components" explains the person
"is there any chance i can get one without buying a new laptop?" i ask
"no" answered the person "you need to send your laptop away to get fixed"
"how long will that take?" i ask
"upwards of one month"
... this is why i hate this shit. if you need clarification the person i was talking to basically said i had to send my laptop away for more than a moth so it could get the plastic case replaced and it would cost my full repair charge (for my school deal that's $50 AUD minimum)
and all i need is a case backing for a HP Envy m6... that's just a small bit of plastic. and its going to cost me $50. and that's on a school student deal...
meanwhile HP is sitting in his throne made of gold stroking his bag of money. and refusing to sell a plate of plastic for $5. which would still be asking for a bit.
imagine how much more money a company like hp would be making if they sold the individual case components for their devices. people like me would pay for the stuff that we would use. HP would still get money. and i would be happy to buy from them again. because as it stands i don't give a crap if it voids my warranty. iv'e got all the software i need for my last 4 years at school. iv'e got virus protection. my laptop works fine. its just a fucking piece of plastic and i cant JUST BUY IT! even worse is i'm going to be set back even more because school starts in about a week and i'm going to have to rent a school laptop to do more than 90% of my school work. which will set me back another $60 bucks a month plus the $4 charging fee at school since i'm not aloud to bring rented hardware home from school. meaning ill have to use a fucking 10 year old Vista desktop to do my home work.
and HP gets 50 fucking bucks richer at the expense of my education AND part time job.
i'm going to have to fucking cut out of my holiday savings in order to last a fucking month or more at school...
FUCK YOU HP!!!!!!!
