As I sit here in my snug armchair watching the last moments of a dying year, I ponder "What the hell happened this year?" Well quite frankly not a lot. Well a few things happened here and there. I finished my normal school career and started sixthform, doing a bunch of exams on the way. There was prom, which was an interesting experience I guess. Oh and there was the Scottish referendum, now that was tense, but The Union pulled through in the end.
But by far the best thing about 2014 was the summer. Now this was a glorious summer, rendered even better by the fact I had a couple more weeks added to it! Now I did absolutely bugger all during this summer. I met with a friend once or twice. I went for a few lovely walks. But I'm not the most social of animals so that didn't matter. This summer I spent my time like a vampire writing, writing and writing all through the night, but rarely seeing the day save the gorgeous sunsets and the supreme sunrises.. Sadly however my co writer buggered off and did his own thing, so for now that book is probably not going to be finished. But the glorious purpose I found writing that book is something that carries through till this day, and inspires me to do what I love doing. And during that summer I also discovered a little thing called My Little Pony, no biggie, you may or may not have heard of it. In fact that is what's currently what's inspiring me to write.
Anyway, the year is now over. The new one welcomed by the most fireworks I've seen since the last one.
Bye bye 2014, I hope your successor exceeds you. It probably will. Other than a sublime eight weeks of summer you were really quite dull.
And Hello 2015. You have great potential. I shall be sailing a tall ship this year, and I shall be going to New York for a Pony convention. So really you should be able to walk it 2015. So kindly do, I'd like a nice year. And 2015 have a nice summer. If you dare make it cold and windy! I swear I'll be annoyed next year when I complain about it in a blog post!
Sincerely
Midnight Ice Cream
