An update

Alright, I'm going to assume this thing is working...

It's Christmas Eve, so I figured that it might be an idea to give people an update, on both the ongoing stories I have, and other projects I have.

Yeah, that comment about ideas I have? Not actually a joke...

You'll see...

Anyway, first, my two ongoing stories.

1) Full House of Ships

This... was a bad idea. I very quickly found out I'm not really a good romance writer. I'm not going to abandon it, for two reasons. One, I have a chapter ready to post (Which is being held until I can find time to edit the previous entries.), and Two, I want something to look back on and remind me how far I've come. So I'm not going to take it down, although I will be switching it to on hiatus at some point over the holidays.

UPDATE: Chapter 2 has been revised, and it is listed as on hiatus. Still working on updating the other two, and some last minute edits to Chapter 4

2) Ponyville Adventuring Society

Chapter 4 is underway, and the blog post should tell you I don't have a 'Hearths Warming/Christmas/Whatever other holidays there are' special ready. Might be a short break after that one while I come up with some other hijinks for our three adventurers to get into, but I'll get there.

UPDATE: Chapter 4 is now posted, Chapter 5 is in progress.

And, now for the other projects that aren't actually ready to post yet. This may take some time...

3) 'House Rules'

I'm a big fan of JaketheGinger, MerctheJerk and Peregrine Caged's Heistverse. I started writing this story while they were in the middle of their very long hiatus, and it started as a non-canon (Obviously) heistverse story.

They've started updating again, and so I've started moving the story in a different direction. Besides, I was always more a fan of the hustle than the heist...

Yep, Spike and the main six actually are swindlers this time around.

Current progress - Story Outline is completed. First Draft - 10% completed.

4) Lyrical Content

A group of short stories just based on song lyrics. That's really all there is to this one. It won't be updated as frequently as others, just for sheer fact that they'll be done when I get ideas. However, with them being stand alone stories, and no more than 5,000 words each, I should at least be able to write them quick when I do get ideas.

5) Twilight the Underdog

If you read the MLP Time Loops, then yes I am the same Midnight Crescent, no I haven't forgotten this. I'm just having a major mental block on this story atm. All I can say is I'm trying to get Chapter 6 going, and I'm sorry.

And to pre-empt any questions, the story so far is all posted, and I'll look into listing chapter and snip numbers (They'll replace the dashes) here at some point for the other five.

6) The Ponyville Chronicles

Before anyone asks, these aren't linked to the P.A.S or the story Night Light started to write at the end of chapter 3 of that story.

This is a story based around the main 6's weekly gaming session. Not an original concept, I know, but so are a lot of stories.

The first game they're playing - Fire Emblem.

Yes, I know that's not a tabletop game yet. It's not as though I'm actually going to be rolling dice when I write the story.

7) Apple Family Blues (Working Title)

Despite the name, this is actually a story more about the CMC. The name is a holdover from one of two ideas I merged to get this story. Unfortunately, it's still a mess, since it's two stories that got combined, so it's a long way off yet.

8) LBW

This is a huge story that I've been working on since before I even started watching MLP. Since then, I've rebooted it, swapped out my (rather bland) original characters, and started slotting humanized MLP characters in where they fit.

However, as mentioned, it's huge, the story outline was premised on the characters being a completely different gender mix, and I'm still trying to figure out how to make cricket of all sports something Rainbow Dash would want to play. Which means this one would be left until all of my other stories are finished, cancelled or otherwise on the back burner.

(NB: I am not saying she couldn't play it. I just doubt Rainbow Dash would be willing to play a sport that involves mostly standing still for 3 hours in it's shortest form. Yes, I said shortest.)

Current Progress - Once I've got the RD situation sorted, I have the outline mostly done, and a prologue under way.

I think that's about it for any story that has at least more than just a concept. If I listed all the concepts I have, I might be here 'til Christmas Day...
