So it appears that writing here for me has seemed to taken an early grave :(
Fear not, I shall continue and finish up what I started.
More importantly, I've been busy with writing for Roan, an RPG that has kicked off with plenty of fans interested since BronyCon.
Roan is a world of Magi-Tech, where airships fly, swords and sorcery clash with the industrial complex.
The world is rife with its creatures, ponies, canines, gryphons, donkeys, and more. Politics sit upon a knifes point, ready to break out into war.
Very inspired by the likes of Final Fantasy 6 and WWI/II as well as the swinging style of the US Roaring 20's with a semi MLP mix.
The system it is utilizing with permission from its owner Jeff Combos, is the Ubiquity System, famously known for the game Hollowed Earth Expedition.
The initial game seeks to introduce the Roans themselves. Earth Ponies, Pegasus, Unicorns, Bat Ponies, Kelpies, and Zebras.
Later installments would offer the Donks (Donkeys/muless) a group under Gryphon oppression that lead a very communistic life. Canidians, canines with a very Dutch like expansion. Gryphons who have a very German/Bolshevik attitude towards all other races, and of course the mighty Dragons who follow a very strict code of honor, chivalry, and stabbing others in the back when none are looking.
It is a very story driven game, that pushes to award players style points for thinking creatively and playing their characters to their archetypes and motivations/flaws.
Artwork is going to be provided by Stedilnik, Zilof (Lyro and Bon Bon), Baron-Engel, Dhui (Tired Pie).
The aim is to push for pdf, but the more successful the kickstarter (come March) the better the chances of having a hardback cover ready for BronyCon 2015. As well as providing specially made character sheets and honorable mentions in both the story of Roan and credits.
