Maaaaaaaaaan, of course finals would screw me over. Fortunately, I might be able to salvage my grades so it's not too bad of a screw up. So, lets see got a bunch of B's an A and then a C and a D+. Horrible grades. That D+ is going to get boosted to a C so I might be able to salvage this term. Needless to say, I need a freaking vacation from college. Woooh summer!
Anyway, enough about me, on to story news.
So, first two chapters are up and haven't generated too much attention. Honestly, that's fine with me because this is more an exercise in my own form of therapy than an attempt to wow the brony fandom. That being said, the attention the story's gotten so far has been positive and for that I thank everypony who's given me suggestions and advice.
Which is a wonderful segway to thanking my two great editors blackice and MyWorld93. I even got another one on the way! Thank you, xanshriekal.
Anyway:
At this point in the story, I'm at a bit of an impasse. I know where I want to go with the story. I'm just not sure how to get from point A to point B without it seeming... wrong?... off?... unconvincing?...
So far, there haven't been any plot altering actions by the characters. The decisions they've made have been reactionary and all lead to the same place. The problem I have now is the choice I left Rarity and her parents in the last chapter.
I don't know what I should do. They can't very well choose to let her die could they? Parents couldn't just choose to kill their child especially when they're alive and sentient a room over... could they?
I'm not a parent but I can imagine if I were given the choice, I wouldn't hesitate - my child's life would take precedence over my own feelings. But still, I know that there are a lot of people who don't think like I do. They can and will put themselves before their children.
Needless to say, I've probably overblown a relatively simple decision into a philosophical discussion in my head that's lasted a week and a half. Pic related.
Expect chapter three by the end of next week.
Stay safe, my friends, and party hard.
