This song drags back all the way from August 18th 2014, but it is still the most popular song in the world right now. "Shake it Off", sung by Taylor Swift and part of the album "1989", released in 2014, has an upbeat tune and enticing lyrics. The song is nominated for "Favorite Song" at the People's Choice Awards 2015. Comment below if you're rooting for Taylor to win!

The second most popular song is Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass", a song reminding us women that having a little more meat on your bones isn't a bad thing at all! In fact "boys like a little more booty to hold at night." This song dates back further than "Shake it Off" (June 2014), but it still is ringing in our ears and heart. Recorded by Epic Records, critics especially love the message of the song and the fun lyrics.

Lastly but not least, Niki Minaj's "Anaconda" claims third place. Sung by herself, one of the only female American rappers, and Sir Mix-a-Lot, the song was released August 4th 2014 on the album "The Pinkprint" (2014). The song itself has a rather suggestive message, but there's no doubt about it being amazing. Niki Minaj drags you in wit her slick words, and the music video seduces you to full supreme.
