1. Books, Birthdays, Zoos, Asylums & TV Novelas · 12:18pm Nov 15th, 2014
Ma first blog post. Huh. Never thought I'd see the day when I'd be a member of Fimfiction. Today's the day when I was first brought into this world, so, special day for me. Don't know what to do for today. I told my parents that we should visit the Old LA Zoo or the abandoned underground subway, the latter I found out was condemned earlier in the year , or maybe the, yes, maybe, the Queen Mary or that closed down mental hospital in Boyle Heights (no, the hospital is blocked off). I love my books, so maybe Piccholo's Books is another destination! Ironic how I'm the total wuss in my entire family, and for his birthday he wants to explore some haunted and abandoned creepy shit. You know what I like about the book store in Long Beach? Over 10,000 titles for $1 each! I think I wanna visit Calico or the White Cross Memorial. Lying around watching telenovelas with my family while eating tamales or consome with the backdrop of a chilly gray sky with rain is also something I'd like to do. While I'm here, let me ask something: Why are all novelas so predictable and without new elements? I mean, they're like the stereotypical epitome of the average HiE/AiE fic for Mexican TV (examples: La Malquerida, La Tempestad, pfft, Quiero Amarte). BUT, BUT, there are exceptions to that. Like HiE/AiE fics, there are gems to all this (Mi Corazon es Tuyo, Como Dice el Dicho, La Rosa de Guadalupe, La Gata, Hasta el Fin del Mundo) and, I'm just confused nao. That's a big blog post .
That's all, I guess.
