Hello and Welcome

Though I've had this account for some time, I've never really used except to offer some opinions on various fanfics on this site. In fact, I haven't really written any fanfiction in a while (the last one I completed was from years ago called The Summer Camp Story and fanfiction.net, which was a Fairly Odd Parents fic that I have since taken down). But I have helped on a few MLP fics, mostly on spelling errors on the GBOYH series of fanfics (under the name of Birthright1979 on deviantart). Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of ideas on file, but I never have the time to make it into a full blown story. Maybe one day I will.

How I got into MLP:FIM

Like a lot of people, if you had asked me if I would watch a TV show about candy colored equines that has for years been aimed for little girls, I would have said "isn't that stuff for little girls?" How I got into the show was, like a lot of things, out of curiosity. I was reading a fanfic called Summer of Love, which is a Phineas and Ferb fanfic about the guys teenage years. The chapter, Pwned by Ponies, was basically the gang watching the first season of MLP:FIM and having a ball watching the show. So I'm going, okay, this is weird but the chapter got me curious about Pony. So I watched the entire first season and I never looked back. Today, I'm still amazed how much attention this incarnation of My Little Pony, both positive and negative. Sure, the show has a its flaws and some episodes could use a rewrite, but all in all, its a show that I can say for certainty will not cause me a toothache any time soon. I think this show has accomplished so much more than any past MLP generations and nobody thought the show would last more than any other Hasbro based show (the episode count will surpass Transformers G1 episode count in Season 5.)

Have I collected any Pony merchandise?

When I buy and collect stuff, I'm very picky on what I get. In fact, my pony collection is not very extensive, so I don't have a hall devoted to anything. The only pony stuff that I have is a Hot Topic Derpy, a McDonalds Princess Luna, a Blind Bag mini figure, a Princess Luna tin with some cards and three physical comics, since I buy those digitally. The rest of my collection consists of robots, figures of manga and game girls and a make your own sonic screwdriver. I also own a few GI Joe figures.

Social Activity

I usually don't get involved in social media because, quite frankly, I don't have much to say half the time. I don't even have facebook or instagram account, not even a twitter feed.

Last Words...for now

To sum up, I got into MLP:FIM due to unusual circumstances, I'm a picky collector and I'm amazed this show is going to surpass Transformers G1 in episode count. As for making any more blogposts here, well, maybe I'll post again. Until then, stay tuned...
