    Chapter 3 and some notes

Seriously, I have no idea where to even begin. It feels like no matter what I say, it's nothing more than an excuse. I'm still writing chapter 3 of Redeem the Fallen, so it's coming; time is just a resource that I don't seem to have that much of lately though. It's coming, I promise.

Anyway, while I’m here, I'll make a post of M:TG terms for the non-magic fans out there.

Chapter 3 and some notes · 3:29pm Nov 5th, 2014

Seriously, I have no idea where to even begin. It feels like no matter what I say, it's nothing more than an excuse. I'm still writing chapter 3 of Redeem the Fallen, so it's coming; time is just a resource that I don't seem to have that much of lately though. It's coming, I promise.

Anyway, while I’m here, I'll make a post of M:TG terms for the non-magic fans out there.

Koth - Koth is a red planeswalker specializing in geomancy. He is a charismatic leader and decisive individual who is able to either leap into action at a moment’s notice or think his issues through. Koth has the ability to purify earthen elements, a representation of his desire to drive away the phyrexians and bring peace to his people. Koth and Elspeth met in a gladiatorial pit in Urborg where the woman tried to kill him for baring the oil's taint. After explanations, he and Elspeth became allies in the fight against Phyrexia, and possibly even close friends as time progressed. He would at times attempt to console her when she'd become depressed.

Mirrodin - Originally created by the golem Karn Planeswalker as the world Argentum. Karn created the plane from an existing but desolate space, using the space as raw materials in the construction of his artificial world.

Karn left one of his creations, Memnarch (a golem created from the Mirari) in control of the plane when he went out to explore the Multiverse. Unfortunately for Argentum, Memnarch was driven mad by Phyrexian oil that Karn accidentally left in Galdroon Palace, Karn's home on the plane. After being infected, Memnarch was a being forever changed and wished to become a planeswalker like its creator. Memnarch transformed Argentum into Mirrodin, essentially a gigantic terrarium with its own food chain and environmental systems, built to supply organisms that could potentially yield sparks. Once Memnarch found such a being, he would take its spark and implant it into himself to achieve planeswalker status.

Karn

At some point, mycosynth grew upon the plane, a product of the oil, changing metal to organic material, including Memnarch himself. Soon thereafter, Memnarch discovered blinkmoth serum, or lymph, which greatly diminished his decaying sanity, and he became addicted to the substance. Though Karn wished to intervene, Memnarch blocked him from his own world, thinking in his madness that Karn was already there.

The outer sphere of Mirrodin had a circumference of 1400 kilometers, with a diameter of around 450 kilometers. Mirrodin had five suns (also called moons by some of the plane's inhabitants; it is also notable that each different satellite was regarded with its own folklore by the peoples of Mirrodin), one for each color of mana, though the green sun was absent until late in Mirrodin's history. The names of the moons are: Bringer, the Eye of Doom, Ingle, the Sky Tyrant and Lyese.

Across the surface of Mirrodin, there were five Lacunae, one for each color, in each different landscape on the artificial world.

Vulshok- The Vulshok trade weapons with other races and have more or less amiable relations with the goblins of the Krark Clan, but seem to have a somewhat heated relationship with the humans of the Auriok tribe. The Vulshok are the preeminent blacksmiths of Mirrodin; they salvage iron from the rich mountains of their home, as well as from artifact creatures such as myr, to create weapons and armor of great quality. The Vulshok are also renowned sorcerers specializing in battle magic, such as offensive bolts of lightning, magnetic weapons that return to their owners, or the summoning of hostile elementals. The details of their religion are unknown, but they perform fire rituals in remembrance of the rising of their world's red sun.

Many Vulshok of both sexes are large and powerful, with muscular frames and thick, tanned skin. Dull iron spikes jut from their heads, shoulders, and other parts of their bodies, giving them a degree of natural armor. Their hair, if they have any, resembles flexible metal wire. Vulshok wear little clothing, usually only iron-studded tunics or loincloths.

Rhox - This anthropomorphic representation of rhinos is mainly found in the plane of Alara, before the Conflux they usually prefer the roles of soldiers and monks.

I really love writing this story and have no intention of stopping anytime soon. Chp.3 is about halfway done currently.
