Writing for me is to come up with an idea and then let the story wander off free so you can write the events down.

    Need some time

Quick post, my proofreader just informed me that he's going to be a little busy. So my story might be a little later out then I planned. I beg you to have understanding. One more thing, I'm still writing upcomming chapters. So when he gets some time off, I'm planning on keeping him very busy reading it all through.

    Some info on my story

So, I'm just gonna say that the third chapter of The last light currently is being checked by Orkz. I know it hasn't been moving foreward very fast, but school is being harder on my writing then I thought. I'll do my best and keep on writing, but I ask you to please have understanding and try to see things as they are. I love writing fimfics, but I also think school is really important and

Why don't comments have a name bar?

That title really does says it all dosn't it?
But, really, everything else has a name bar above it (exept blog posts, but that's different, they aren't supposed to have it). Comments have a setting where you can name it, but the name dosn't show up on your userpage, why is that? If you have an opinion, write a comment below or PM me.

    What's the diffrence?

So, there is this thing I've been thinking a lot about lately. If you google pictures on 'bronies' on the internet, you'll first of all find a lot of haters. Then, you'll find that the hate is almost exclusive aimed at guys who like the show. It's like you're an idiot if you're a dude, but if you're a girl it's compleatly normal. I don't get that. In fact, I've never understood why some

Do I have a proplem? · 3:24pm Oct 29th, 2014

If there ever was a list off everything I had read on this site, it would probaly be filled of stories tagged 'dark' or 'sad'. The reason to this is not beacuse I like to have my heart breaked. It's beacuse I simply like to read them.
Why?
Beacuse sad stories are hard to write, but if you ever manage to get one written, it's a masterpiece. When you write a something to make the reader feel sad, you have to put much more effort in it then when you want them to feel happy. If you want to make the readers laugh, all you have to do is create an akward situation or throw in Pinkie Pie. If you want them to cry from the depth of their heart, you'll have to paint everything out more, have detailed descriptions, stuff like that, there must have been some sort of story before the tragedy so that the readers really can get to know the character before they die, go evil or whatever happens, after all, who will cry rivers for a character they barely know.
To get back to my point that sad stories are hard to write, it's becuse my observation that in order to make reader feel something, you have to feel it youself first. That's why they are so hard to write, you have to break your own heart in the process. Heck, even George R. R. Martin athour of Game of Thrones has stated that he had so much emotional problems with The Red Wedding that he actually wrote the rest of that book first. And, let's face it, if it appiles to him it applies to everybody!
Every good sad story is a masterpicece and it will have you see through tears, even the bittersweet ones. But, due to the lack of varity in what the tragedy is, some athours try to make the impossible happen, make you cry for a character that you hate. I once read this fimfic called "Why am I crying" by Rated Ponystar (I love his works) about the CMCs reactios when they learned that Diamond Tiara died. Do not get me wrong. I hate that little brat with all my heart, but I still felt some level of pain when I heard she'd died.

In short, I like sad and heartbreaking stories becuse of the efforts that have been put into them by whoever wrote it. In my opinion there are only three levels for a sad story: Crap (when the are crappy written and the only goal is to make the reader sad), Masterpiece (when you truly feel the tragedy as if you had known the character and been his/her best friend all your life) and Nobel Prize (when you feel all torn up inside becuse of the tragedy striking a character you hate). Disagree with me all you want, I'm off to try writing a bittersweet story. Until that's done, you can find me in the comments of stories that not even changelings can be untuched by!
