Original Fiction is Fun · 3:46am Oct 24th, 2014
First, I'd like to start with an admission and an apology- I haven't actually touched Foreign Correspondence since last Friday, and I'm sorry for that. Really, I feel guilty as hell. But I will finish this chapter... eventually. Maybe tonight if I don't get too caught up training virtual horses on howrse (which is all I've been doing this week). But I do want to write, and more than anything I do want to finish these fanfics.
And this brings me to the title of this blog entry- I've been working on my original fiction. I'm putting my own spin on different mythical creatures like mermaids, dragons, vampires, witches, and werewolves, and I'm loving it. It's my little sandbox of sorts, where the only rules are my own and I'm only limited by my own imagination. Best of all, I'm still only on the first draft so I can write hundreds of words without having to worry about editing it the next day.
My uni semester is coming to an end so I'll have plenty of time to write come November. Well, not exactly in November, since I'm doing nanowrimo, but I can always work on fanfics once I reach my daily word quota. I've also been slowly finishing Sugarcube Races, which I'll finish uploading here in one big hit as soon as it's finished so I can stop being reminded daily that nobody likes it. I'm working on it because I like it (although the way I treat the characters might not show that).
So, to sum up- I've been lazy but I'm gonna make myself sit down and write, and finish these things even if it kills me.
