Military Story Fails · 4:56pm Oct 11th, 2014
Once in a while you will see a story pop up where the protagonist is in Equestria, and they have weapons and vehicles, which require fuel and ammo. Usually the writer will circumnavigate the INDISPENSABLE need for a supply infrastructure, by saying regenerating ammo, unlimited fuel, ect. This irks me because the writer BLATANTLY throws this in your face that he's circumventing this need. Military cannot survive with out this infrastructure. Maybe lack of ammo and fuel won't stop the character, but wear and tear will. Example: the Me 262, the German jet fighter of WWII, had engines that lasted about 20 hours before the burned up and had to be replaced. So if the engine factory was destroyed, bye bye 262. That is why the allies bombed the hell out of German, to destroy its ability to make war. Do not cheat the system if you want to make a good story.
