One small step at a time

Right then, so a first for everything I suppose. After being pressured by my friends, and the ever looming threat that my stories are going to be seen by more eyes than I had intended, I decided to take a leap into the deep end of the fanfiction pool. Well, to most it is probably still the wading pool, but it is all perspective. As I see it, I am a new child charging frantically, and screaming in fear, into the shallow waters. There is no wafting.

I have just submitted my first online story. So yes, I am a bit apprehensive about what the outcome might be. If anyone were to talk to anyone that knows me, they would tell you this is completely unexpected. In fact, none of them know yet. One, maybe two are regulars here so I don't know how long I can stay hidden. Hey, who knows? I might take a liking to this.

But one small step at a time. I have to wait for the story to be approved, then let the unexpected waves of criticism crash into me relentlessly. Well, they might be waves of accolades, but what fun would that be? And that is the best part of being pessimistically optimistic. Expect the worse, knowing that it wont happen. Anyways, I have to trudge through the approval process.

Given the time, I know I will be a great swimmer...er... writer.
