I got a violin bow, after meaning to get one for a year. Now I can play the singing saw properly (up until now, I'd been hitting it to produce sound, which is nowhere near as nice), make my bass sound like a double bass or a cello, and make even more weird ass noises on the guitar. I'm intrigued to hear the results of drumstick-under-the-strings/weird tuning/violin bow combination. Should be neat.
As I've mentioned many times, I start BIMM (music college) on monday. Songs here we come!
Now I really want a P-J Bass, after listening to fuck-tons of Killdozer and Pixies, who used a Precision Bass, and Nirvana who used a Jazz Bass. The P Bass sounds amazing anyway, but I'd need that thin, nasty twangyness that the bridge pickup on a Jazz Bass gets.
Probably get a Squier one and some nice pickups, I already know a guy with some USA ones for sale.
Should be cool, if I ever get around to actually doing it.
