Now, before you ask, yes that is a reference to futurama and yes of course I love that show and yes of course I cried at the scene where Fry's dog waits for eternities for his master who doesn't come because he thought him lucky. Everyone did, don't fool yourselves.
So, what is up with the bad news then? Well, it's actually quite easy: I dun f+cked up.
Basically, in this short blog post, I'm gonna explain why there was no new story for a long time. First of all, yes I am a human being and thus love to waste my time watching random videos and no I am not a normal human being, thus I don't only waste my time on random pony music videos (watching one right now just to add to the irony) , but also videos about quantum physics and advanced physics classes sometimes even at the same time - Don't think both would be equally time consuming: While you spend at most 2 hours watching music videos before your brain explodes, you can watch about 3 or 4 lectures before physics is overloaded. Each video being 1.5 hours long though, that adds up to 4.5-6 hours (look mom, I can do basic math). That being said, you can easily also write alongside learning about advanced quantum mechanics!
You can't? Who told you that? Nah. It's really possible, even though you get really slow at some point and may have to re-watch parts of the video.
That being said though, I am (as my editor Enderbrony could confirm) an absolute multitasking monster, so during my physics research and my video watching and game playing and channel creating and channel leading and gathering talents as vastly as from video editing, voice acting, quantum physics, advanced mathematics, visual entertainment, becoming more extroverted ,programming (yes, I am still programming a small game - well, if my pc wasn't broken I would be, anyway - ) and other stuff, I wrote quite a lot.
So, through all of these tasks I have set upon myself, I *still* managed to write, which is quite a feat. What I wanted to do was posting this new story labled *Starswirl's incredible adventures in space time* (SIAST) on Fimfiction as soon as I got finished with it, thus not wasting your time waiting 3 eternities for the next chapter.
My point being? I already told you. I dun f#cked up. I lost SIAST. I deleted it accidentally? No. I misplaced it? No. I hate saying so, but sometimes you just lose your stories by losing the motivation to write them. Happened to me before with FOTC too, I don't know. Maybe I am not up to it, probably I am just not finding the right topic to write about. Most likely my life is just changing too fast to single out a single topic I could write longer than a few weeks about, because of the new worlds I discover every week... Grown up life is amazing and fast and eerily so. The only thing sticking with me is my love for physics; I could write good stories about unitary time evolution operators working on quantum states and how the hermiticity allows us to do certain things, how the commutator works out some wonderful ladder structures if it is self-repeating, but honestly you wouldn't understand :P
I kinda realized SIAST wasn't my story anymore a time ago, but I couldn't get it over with. It's hard to give up something you put effort into, but I know that's sunken cost fallacy. The same thing that has you reading to here and not just stopping after the 3rd paragraph or so. Well, I won't fall for that fallacy this time and prolong suffering.
My writing actually has improved while writing SIAST, if only by steps. But step by step and year by year I'd eventually get great at writing.
Yet even though I know I got better at writing, I also know that I still lack a lot of talents. One of them being writing out motivations and characterizations. My characters often feel empty, but that's not because I don't know how they feel, but because I am letting no one know. It's kinda as if all my characters were wearing stone masks that you couldn't indentify them behind, a mask that someone can appreciate because he can get behind it himself, but also a mask that makes characters seem dead. Basically I have corpses in my stories. (Ouch :P)
So, knowing my mistakes I fixed them, right? Well, I plan to.
There are a couple of things preventing me from continuing SIAST and eventually posting it:
-> empty characters
-> not indentifying with the story anymore
-> feeling forced writing it instead of just having my fun
So yeah, I suck and you waited for nothing. So, for whomever is actually reading this, thank you for believing in me an sorry for failing you. Well, now I should try to resume doing stuff, at least as long as I am motivated to :)
Wow And I thought watching a minecraft video, whilst playing Borderlands 2 and NCIS/SVU was a bit much.
That being said I don't mind it you stop writing just don't leave. I can help if you want. Characters come easy to me.

I wouldn't ever stop writing, I just need the right topics to write about. Currently I am thinking about writing a postapocalyptic story of undefined type with my editor...
To get help would be great, but I would have to consult EnderBrony for that first
