Final Draft

All the world is indeed a stage, and we are merely players, performers, and portrayers; each anothers audience outside the gilded cage.

    Bucket of problems

Okay, so, I've been very busy with real world responsibilities and headaches. Finally moved my grandmother into an assisted living home, which ends a three year ordeal of her ruining my parent's lives and making my life even more miserable than it was. I'm back to therapy, and my therapist was less than thrilled with my current state of affairs. We're working on a solution, which requires me to

    Anime Boston 2016

So, first off, I'm back. My disappearance was only because I spent nearly every hour of the last two weeks preparing my costume for Anime Boston. I am a procrastinator. But, all turned out well and I had a great time.

    Finally meeting a deadline.

So, good news, I just finished chapter 15 of I Should Have Never Bought That Pony, and it will be released tomorrow at 16:00 EST. Now, it's a long one, and it's some of the better writing I've done in a while. Still, I'd like someone (or a couple someones) to skim over it before I send it out. Shoot me a PM and I'll give you a link to the google Doc.

Okay. Important stuff:

ISHNBTP: New chapter October 1st.

In a Pickle: Horrible clopshot to be released for Oneshotober. Releasing it first to get it out of the way.

Still going to be canceling some more of my previous fics, and updating them with summaries of the unfinished content.

Following Oneshotober, all focus is being put on finishing ISHNBTP. Upon completion, you will love me. After it's done, I have three new multi-chapter stories I'd start working on. I think they're all pretty decent. Here's a preview:

She's My Friend: Sad/Mature fic. Truly a heart breaker, but because the premise is assumed to be foalcon, I do not expect a great many views, but I do expect A LOT of downvotes--not that I want them. This story is meant to prove a point, that when foalcon is presented properly, it can be a good story device. This is going to explore the psychological and social aspects of such actions--how it affects those involved and how society reacts to it.

Scootaloo befriends a lonely stallion after she accidentally breaks his window. Despite their age difference, they found themselves happy in one anothers company. The more time they spent together, the closer they got, until one would not be seen without the other. Eagerly, the stallion would await his young companion every day, until one day she did not show up. It was not by her choice, but rather by concerned citizens that suspected foul intentions. No matter how hard he tried, the stallion could not convince the public that Scootaloo was "just a friend".

Radio Dash: Comedy with dark undertones (similar to ISHNBTP, and preceding it by forty years). I've been working on this one for a while now, and it's taken a lot of research.

Set in Newburyport, Massachusetts during 1976, this fic follows Frank Leonard, a radio station board operator. I made sure everything was time period accurate, so chalk this one up as historical fiction. If you like ISHNBTP, you'll like this one. Discord and George W. Bush Sr. are the antagonists of the story, as they lead the CIA in a desperate search for the alien that crashed down in a Massachusetts airfield: Rainbow Dash. She was found by Frank, and while trying to find a way to get her home, he accidentally lands her a job doing radio drama at the station. Lots of comedy, but as I said, dark undertones. Without spoiling too much, when Discord was freed from his stone prison, he took to causing as much chaos as possible in Equestria. When the mane 6 showed up with the elements of harmony, he acted much more intelligently than in the show, and subdued the ponies. While fleeing from Discord's attacks, Rainbow Dash performs a sonic rainboom while simultaneously being struck by lightning, causing her to fly through time and space.

The Rules of Horror: Dark/Mystery
I've got a fair bit typed, but it still feels...like a sci-fi original movie. Which, was kinda the feel I was going for, but I wanted it to be making fun of sci-fi original movies. Anyway, it follows Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo, as well as Rainbow Dash's grandfather, Dash (original, I know). The whole mystery behind the fic involves the town, Fogvale. It's a weird, exclusively pegasus town that floats on a thick layer of fog. Rainbow's grandfather was a premiere black and white horror films actor in his youth, and it's entirely because of him the town still exists. He and his wife starred in dozens of hit films, all set in the town. Every year, the town holds a film festival to celebrate their achievements.

Since the death of his wife, Dash has been secluded, seemingly driven to madness by the loss. Rainbow Dash receives a letter from him, claiming that the thing that killed his wife has returned. Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo reluctantly go to Fogvale, just in time for the big, 50th anniversary of "It Came From the Fog". Before the celebrations begin, a series of strange deaths rattle the small town. Well, briefly. The coroner, law enforcement, and townsponies all find logical explanations for a couple youths being horribly ripped to shreds. Dash warns Rainbow and Scootaloo that now they're trapped in it, just like he is. The town is following horror movie rules, and if they're to survive, they're going to have to know those rules.

Stuff like, "When the dog barks, you have exactly thirty seconds to get the hell out of there."
And, "The police will never believe you, no matter how much evidence you bring them."
And, "The monster ain't dead until the cops show up."
Most importantly, "Any way out of the town is now impossible. Until the monster is dead, you aren't leaving."
