This is a Short Story I wrote in Record time (for myself anyway) took me 5 minutes.
Meteor vs. Equestria.
Elmago, the greatest archmage in the history of ponykind. Even he could not foresee what was about to happen.
Everyone on the planet, pony, griffon, dragon, minotaur, kyuubi, and all other races now lie dead.
A crater four miles wide now stood where Ponyville once stood.
Elmago, in his first years as Archmage casted a spell which seemed to have no effect. Unknown to him though. It did have an effect.
Out in the farthest reaches of space, a meteor drifted off course and headed for the planet. It took several decades, but the meteor reached the planet and impacted.
Now the planet lies dead. No longer fit to hold life.
