A blog about Studio Ghibli · 1:31am Sep 12th, 2014
Studio Ghibli was a part of my childhood while I was growing up. Sure, I probably didn't remember that much from Ghibli movies (compared to Disney movies) but the impression was much more deep. I had this whole DVD collection of Ghibli movies but our family had bought it from some old shop in China so some of the DVDs were spoilt. But everything inside was memorable and... magical. Regardless of context, Ghibli never failed to inject charm, wit and weirdness into their films which made Disney films seem superficial when measured up. A memorable few are Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and Howl's Moving Castle. I especially loved Howl's Moving Castle! Never would forget this scene:
Sends chills up my spine, because that's the feeling you can only get and would love to get when you watch Studio Ghibli films. The feeling of flight.
Plus, I was thinking about writing a fic about Howl in Equestria or something to that effect.
Howl in Equestria? Ohgodohgodohgod YES! Write it! Bring Sophie and Cal! Or not... hmm... either way, I'd definitely love to read it!
2458832 Haha, I was thinking of setting Equestria as one of the places the castle can teleport to, through that magic switch at the door.
2458968 ... Like a bawss. Wonder what it would look like from the Equestrian end? Hmm... it would also be reasonable to think he could shapeshift into a pony, or at least cloak himself. Or...hmm...
