So... I'm still alive · 11:41am Sep 5th, 2014
You know what I hate? When I'm reading a fanfic, and I start to enjoy it. It's not the best by any stretch of the imagination, but it has me enjoying it anyways. It's a fic that's been going on for a while, and all off the sudden you realize that there is no more chapter to read, so you wait in the hopes that the author will update, and hopefully soon! Only, that doesn't seem to happen. You wait some more, thinking the author is just busy, swamped with work, maybe college or exams, or moving, vacation, whatever, you just wait in the hopes that the author will update. But it doesn't come, so you wait for a blogpost, a text, just about anything really, but those don't come either.
In the end, you think the author has just given up, you find is a real shame, and forget this fanfic ever existed, as you relish in another fic, and another and so on and on, till this thing is forever gone from your mind. But why didn't that author ever update? I used to think it was just because he or she got bored of the fandom, got bored of ponies, or just didn't like the fic they are writing anymore.
What I never thought about is that maybe they're not able to do so.
To make a long story short, I had to undergo an urgent operation, and while the results are okish now, they weren't in early may. I rather not go into details, but there was a chance that I wouldn't be around to type this down at all anymore...
It also didn't leave me unscarred sadly, as my left hand/arm will never function to the full potential anymore (and I am a lefty), and add to that the fact that I was rather depressed for a while, you can see why I wasn't around or in the mood for any of this.
I'm rather fine now, and honestly, starting to miss this. I don't think that my fics are anything good, not by any stretch of the imagination, but it does seem at least some of you folks enjoy them, so it would be rude to just leave you waiting without explaining why. Since I have to use my left hand more to get the strenght back into it, and since I miss this, I started working on my fanfics again, but considering that I'm not in a full state of mind, and working with a damaged hand/arm, I sadly cannot promise an update anytime soon. Chapter 12 of Trixing Switch was about 8k words in, and almost finished, and chapter 4 of Heartstrings, Sweetie Drops and You was about halfway done, but I haven't even looked at these chapters for a little over 4 months, so you can see how that is an issue.
Still, I won't drop this, and since I got an ocean of free time right now, recovering and all that, I will pick this back up again and try to update as soon as possible.
I hope I didn't dissapoint anyone with my dissapearing, but yeah, it wasn't exactly by choise >_<
Dont worry I never gave up waiting. Your fics are fun and original. Also, I hope your arm heals up okay It sounds like a nasty injury. Best of luck to you.
Even if you don't think your fics are any good - they are certainly no worse than the majority of stories on this site and better than a fair number of them.
That said, wish you to get better soon-ish. Or whatever would be the correct turn of speech in english.

Thank you for the kind words :)
Jesus, dude. I've never talked to you before but I did like the Trixing Switch fic. I hope your arm gets better man.
Oh crap. I'll just be a selfish bastard and wish you well, a complete recovery, all happiness and inspiration for a few more chapters of Trixing Switch.
