Why I Love My Sister · 2:42pm Jul 27th, 2014
I know everyone that came into this fandom came for different reasons. Fanart, fanfics, Youtube parodies, etc. but there are those who joined, me included, for a genuine love for the show itself.
For me, everything about the show drew me in. The amazing animation, the great screenplay, and the superb characters. They made the show great, but what made the show even better for me was Tara Strong, the voice of my childhood and an amazing all around voice actress. She's voiced a little under four hundred different projects from a wide range of video games, TV shows, and movies. She's so great, and amazing and... and... and I'm getting off topic here. Everyone knows how great of a voice actress she is, what I'm getting to is how this ties in with my love for my sister.
My sister is in the military, Navy to be exact which is the same branch I'm gonna join, and she's currently stationed in San Diego, which just happens to be where Comic Con is this year.
Have you put two and two together yet? No? Okay, I'll keep going.
Since she's in the military, she got a discount on Comic Con tickets. Most people pay $150 for two days, she paid $30 for three days. Well, yesterday she spend her day at Comic Con, and while she was there, despite not being a brony/pegasister/whateverthehellyouwanttocallit, she still swung by the MLP panel just for me. Along with at least a hundred pictures she snapped of the MLP panel alone, she got me some souvenirs especially for me.
With Tara Strong being one of my top favorite voice actresses, this made me lose my mind. And while it's hard to believe, I, an 18 year old male, did fangirl for about an hour.
Then I thought to myself, "This wouldn't have happened if I didn't have an awesome sister." I think of my relationship with my sister, being like that of Sweetie Belle and Rarity in The Sisterhooves Social. (except I'm a guy and she's a girl)
Having a sister is just about the bestest thing in the world. But it sure isn't the easiest.
I can vouch for that having been a little brother for 18 years.
So if you have a brother or a sister, I encourage you to get along. It's not always rainbows and sunshine. It's difficult, it arduous, it's some-other-big-words-that-pretty-much-mean-hard. But believe me when I tell you... It's worth it!
Pretty damn nifty. I wish I could have one of those. It'd be pretty cool.

Like I said, I wouldn't have these if it weren't for my sister. I love her so much, for so many reasons. I just can't put it into words on an internet blog. But I sure did try.
