I am still lurking on this website. I've actually started a new account because there are some people on this one I'd rather not deal with anymore tbh

    Art Commissions!

So, I've improved a lot in my pony drawing. I've found my own style, created my own characters, even applied the pony-drawing skills to other cartoons and animals. I realized that I really want to try my hand at other people's characters!

So I'm taking commissions! More info on my DA page!

    Holy

Holy shit I cried way too much at Castle Sweet Castle. This is unacceptable. I don't think I'll make it through Tanks for the Memories.

A Memory · 2:25am Jul 8th, 2014

So, because of a story I'm working on, I've been gathering some inspiration from Silent Hill. Although I've never played it, I love the music, and reading about the monsters, and it was really great for plotting and scheming for this fic.

Aaaaaaaaaanyway... after finding a picture of the mannequin (the thing that's like a woman's waist to her feet mirrored and crawls around like a spider? I don't want to link a picture because I'm not clear on the rules regarding that...), I found a memory surfacing.

When I was a kind, I used to love browsing Toys R Us. It's how I discovered Harry Potter and Secret Saturday! At our local one, they had this one aisle that was all of these incredibly creepy action figures. I think it was a lot from Robot Chicken, Bioshock, and other adult-type stuff, so I never really had any interest in wandering through there. I was about 5 or 6.

However. I was a kid, and I could never resist those packages with the windows to test out the various actions. I remember sneaking down the aisle to look at nearby windowed packages, and finding something that totally disturbed me. (Again, I was very young and raised by over-protective parents. I am big enough to admit that this thing doesn't sound scary at all to me now, but back then it totally freaked me out)

Here's what I'm sure of: It was made of fingers. One finger for each arm and leg, and the top most joint of a finger with the nail facing forward as a head.

Here's what I'm hazy on: I think it was in an orange or striped prison jumpsuit. I also think it was made of that fake rubbery stuff that feels powder-y when you touch it with the joints underneath.

The reason I tell you this: I... cannot locate an image of this thing. I've tried about a thousand different word combinations, but nothing even close to this has shown up.

Anybody know what I'm talking about here? Does anyone own one, by any chance?

... Anyone think they may have seen anything that even slightly resembled this before?
