New Story, More Chapters, and Pokemon · 6:59am Jun 4th, 2012
After holding onto the story and first chapter of Hypnagogia for a while, I finally published it. Two stories is my limit for continuing updates -- any more and I'll end up flailing in the deep end with angry readers and a lack of a life on the other side of the computer monitor. I do have a one-shot I've drafted, but it's no where near polished enough for publication -- not to mention it's my first attempt at a first-person perspective from a character in the show.
I apologize for not releasing the update for The Stolen Child until a few days later than promised; procrastination, work, and Pokemon got in the way. After years of just replaying old games, I finally have a DS (borrowed) and promptly purchased Pokemon Diamond ($8 with in-store credit and pre-owned pricing, aww yeah). And now I'm racing with a friend to collect the first four badges and I have no idea what I'm doing and it feels fantastic. I miss the mystery the games had before I knew too much about them and the pokemon in the earlier generations.
Anyways, on a pony-related note, I will be releasing at least one chapter a week. I will be alternating updates, so next I'll be posting up the sixth chapter of The Stolen Child. I'm excited now that a plot point is out in the open, and hope I can navigate everything to where I want it to go. Like most of my writing projects, it's seeming to get bigger and bigger which is honestly not good for a fanfiction story. I need to reel it in and slim down to what's vital.
Hope everyone's having a good week.
Now back to training my pokem-- I mean, finishing the draft of TSC chapter six. =D
Sincerely,
Thistle
