Next fic · 11:09pm Jul 6th, 2014
Just a little reveal for what my next fic is since I really want to do it. Of course that won't happen 'til not a dog is over and done with but I digress.
Next fic is going to be a heavily ponified Alice in Wonderland. I can hear you now, 'that's been done before!' and you'd be right although I'm yet to find a completed version. What I'm aiming to do is a re-write of the original, so keeping the storyline and setting as close to original as possible but with most characters ponified and with a bit more comedy injected since the protagonist isn't a little girl but an older and infinitely more jaded individual. Also planning to do a little bonus along side the story.
But lets not rush. I hope to get not a dog finished as soon as possible in the next couple of weeks and I won't be starting on this 'til its done. I may then need a bit of time to get the start of this hammered out so I'll say 2 months at the most, not that I'm giving myself an actual deadline coz I hate working under needless, self-imposed pressure.
Working title is 'Alicorn in Wonderland. No, there are no prizes for guessing who Alice will be.
Actually I liked "I am not a dog." Tis better to go your own route than duplicate what has been done -- I mean if I want alice in wonderland, I can read or see that. The other thing you might want to consider before starting that is that it is LONG. You are kind of committing to a 6 digit words fic.
Now if you wanted to do your own work in wonderland rather than just ponifying it then you could have a crossover. Or if you wanted characters from AiW in Equestria...
Thing is just taking an original work and going as close to it as possible just with ponies is pretty plagairist. What saves you in this case is how old the book is.

Besides its only like 27,000 words long. I'm just doing a few fics as a testbed for bigger things. New to writing so want to experiment a bit first. I also happen to really like AiW. It won't be an exact word-for-word copy by any means so...yeah, can't think of any more to say.
