    So...

I never seem to keep all of this going, do I?

But here I am, Civviq Writer. I am still alive! My time - and drive - have just been dissolved by the exams. They still are being dissolved, by the way. But I'm doing fine. To be honest, I haven't been writing much, and if anything it's mostly for myself, for practice. I think I can say that I have improved a bit.

Should I do something again? Write something, draw something, to celebrate this milestone?

    My dearest readers,

    I am baffled.

    That's all.

I have been gone for who knows how long, and still, I kept gaining new readers. I want to thank you all so much for that. For staying with me for so long even though you hear nothing from me for so long. I am sorry to test your patience. Hey, maybe you've forgotten all about me, but hopefully that will change.

Rainbows in the storm · 10:51am Jul 2nd, 2014

A lightning bolt struck the dark rainclouds in the air. Not shortly after, the loud rumbling of thunder followed. The heavy rain ticked on my head, drenching my coat. My mane and tail hung limply over my shoulder, flattened out from the rain. I was walking over the muddy road, my hooves dirty and brown with mud. My glasses were stained. I’m not sure whether it was the rain, or my tears.

I sighed and shivered. I lifted my head to look forward. I couldn’t see far in front of me; the rain was falling in one heavy curtain, blocking my view. I knew I had to find shelter, but I kept walking along the road. I had to go on, I just had to. I didn’t know what else I could do.

The past few days were the heaviest days of my life. Tough decisions and hard tests didn’t make it any better. I just wish… I wish I could’ve done it again, correcting the mistakes I had made. But I can’t, and I’m not sure if it were for the better if I did. When doubt has taken over, nothing is sure anymore.

My friends… I hardly see them anymore. I don’t know where they have gone. They’ve probably moved on, with their own new set of friends. Forgotten about me, discarded me as if I were nothing but a friendly acquaintance. It was fun, the times we shared, but we have other friends, too. Real friends.

I could see their faces in the rain. Talking, laughing, with eachother - and with me. I smiled, but as soon as they came, they disappeared. I sighed and hung my head. I walked on, to nowhere in particular. I just don’t know what to do now. Where to go, what to say. What path to choose.

What will be the best for me? Only I can say so. But I don’t even know what I want anymore. I’ve been told so much by so many ponies, all contradicting and demanding of what I should do. It’s just so confusing. Listen to your heart, they say, but it’s been silent ever since they have shattered it.

Another lightning bolt split the sky, the roar of thunder hurt my ears. But I looked up, and saw that the sun has broken through the dark clouds. A rainbow appeared at the sky. Another strike of lightning pierced through the rainbow. Thunder followed soon after.

I stared up in awe to the display. A rainbow, and lightning at the same time! I sighed and smiled. Maybe the world isn’t so bad after all. Maybe there’s still hope, somewhere.

A fresh tear formed in the corner of my eye, but this time it was not from sadness.
