    To Love and Tolerate.... Endlessly

I am in no way qualified to write about this, but I want to. This is due to the fact that the community, as a whole, has touched me so deeply and made quite an impact in my life the past couple of months that I feel like I should commemorate my new love in some way. So, I shall write about it. And what it means to me. And what I, hopefully, will do about it in the near future.

To Love and Tolerate.... Endlessly · 8:45pm Jun 11th, 2014

To Love and Tolerate… the crap out of people.

Love -okay, we all understand that one. Think pink and a steady heartbeat and the Lord Almighty and a double cheeseburger and soft, warm sand and a collapsing of the insides and soft eyelashes on your cheek and… well, whatever love is to you. That’s me, but what about you?

Tolerance -that’s a whole different thing all together. To tolerate, to me, is to first acknowledge that the person you are to love annoys the crap out of you BUT (and here’s the big but) you have chosen to put all that aside and show them love even if you secretly believe they don’t deserve it.

Tolerance doesn’t seem all that positive, does it?

I shall rephrase it. To tolerate is to know that it is difficult to love someone or something or an idea or belief but you choose to try as hard as you possibly can to love anyway. To tolerate is to love so hard and so against yourself that eventually -in a large array of fluttering rainbows - you begin to genuinely accept and, perhaps, admire said subject. To tolerate is to love beyond your person and give beyond your ability. To tolerate is to gain a whole new level of generosity. To tolerate, I believe, is to be bold.

So yeah, love and tolerate endlessly. That is all I have to say. Thank you.
