Dentist's Drills, Anesthetics, and Speech Impediments

Gah. I hate going to the dentists. I don't mind it when it's just a check-up, but when you have to get 2 fillings it's even worse.

The thing is, they don't do the "Kiddie Anesthetic" on guys my age. They just shove a large-ass needle in your gum and then tell you to relax whilst they are pumping nerve numbing toxins into your lower jaw and lip and tongue. Yes, tongue.

Did I mention I HATE NEEDLES!?!?

Anyway, long story short, I got my fillings done.

Then I had to go to school, missing out on my first period review class for finals (Damn it all), get humiliated by my numb tongue speech, and had no ability to chew and swallow without looking like a neanderthal.
