Petition to have Vic Mignogna play Tuxedo Mask · 7:15am May 24th, 2014
Attention all members of fimfiction, I have an important announcement to declare. This is the first blog I have ever made in my life, so I'm still a little new at this. Nevertheless, I bring good news of great joy to some of you who might be familiar with this. I'm quite sure that many of you out there are anime fans, just as much as you are fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is magic. And I'm also sure that many of you are familiar with one of the most popular English dub actors, Vic Mignogna, who has worked on several anime shows such as Ouran High School Club, and of course Fullmetal Alchemist.
Well, recently it has just been announced that there is a petition going right now about fans demanding to have Vic Mignogna play the voice of none other than Tuxedo Mask himself. That's right folks, Vic himself has said that one of the roles he has always wanted to play, is Tuxedo Mask.
Apparently, it has just been announced a few days ago that Viz Media was able to purchase the licensing for the Sailor Moon series, which expired in 2004. For the past ten years, fans of Sailor Moon across the U.S., and possibly all over North America, have been hoping that somehow we would be able to receive the right to license the series again, despite the fact that Toei Animation denied it several times, due to their frustrations on the enormous censoring that was used on the english dubbed. I don't know all the details of this yet, but I do know one thing: the entire UNCUT version Sailor Moon will be re-released in a re-dubbed format, with new voices, and that it will be released in both Blu-ray and DVD this Fall.
So be prepared folks, because if any of you has been longing to see one of your childhood shows again, this is the time to prepare. But before we have time to celebrate, we have to make sure that Vic Mignonga's dream of playing the voice of Tuxedo Mask comes true. Take the time to look over the petition, sign it, and then spread the word around to other people. Now, I understand that some of you may not think that Vic could fit the role of Tuxedo Mask, so I know that we all have our preferences. But I still think it's worth a try.
