The perils of attempting the improbable in the middle of a season.

you know what's worse than trying to write a shameless, improbable fic involving one of the Mane 6 and an OC?

trying to do so while the world is still being built.

I have about 9 chapters of this ridiculous one way love story complete, and I would have to rewrite ALL of it to accommodate S4.

This wasn't a problem before. S4 was innocent enough. and then the season finale happened and suddenly I feel like it'd be criminal to ignore the events of that.

So here's the thing. do I rewrite basically ALL of it to accommodate S4?

just a note, it may or may not end up on Fimfic. it's currently sitting in my Gdocs gathering dust while I ponder this dilemma.
