Alright, we all know that I've really been taking my sweet time with the next chapter. I'm sorry but every time I write out the drunk part, I look back and think "Nah, I can do better." and thus rewrite...and look back on it again...and rewrite once more...
It's a vicious circle.
At some point, I'll most likely be "Fuck it. It's been over 3 weeks without me updating and I'll just post what I have."
That will most likely happen, about 95% chance, if not more.
Now then, onto some slightly better news.
For starters, coursework has really been eating away at me to the point it made me have writers block (and art block). I've handed in what I had to to my teachers, completing one of my units (meaning that I have a bit more time to write chapters in the lessons or get work done for my other teachers.)
I'm really close to completing another teacher's unit. Just a small bit of work is needed for it.
Anyway, back onto the fic.
- I'm going to get back onto it on Monday (I don't write on weekends / I have stuff to do.)
- The writing block did provide me some interesting ideas for the story in the future. Not going to say anything about them.
Now, to finish off this blog post. Like I said, it's been three weeks since the last update (I have the current update on FiM Fiction and it says the chapter is almost 20k words. BUT, I'm not entirely sure it is (it could have some paragraphs that have been accidentally repeated / copy and pasted into the chapter). This means I will go through the chapter to make sure / smooth things out a bit.
I'm feel pretty good since I'm still getting notifications of people favouriting the story even though I haven't updated in a while. Currently, H.T is at 199 fav's (Seriously guys. Holy. Fucking. Shit. I didn't expect it to get liked this much!) View count is almost 34k and since I haven't posted the 34th chapter, it means that at first glance, every chapter has 1k views (I know this isn't really true but heck, still a staggering amount of views for the story and I wish I could hug each and every reader for well, reading my story. Seriously guys, I love you that much.)
For some reason, for HT, the View Graph is broken for it. How is it? Easy. It hasn't shown views of the story since April 22nd.
How does this bother me? I want to see how many views this story is getting, even though I haven't posted in a while.
Now, back to the fic once more:
In my view, I would try to upload a chapter around once a week with 5k words minimum. Giving you a nice chunk to read as well as I don't like leaving huge cliff hangers. If I do that however, I will most likely have the next chapter already written and may post it in a couple of days (I don't want you to hang on for too long.)
Now, the main reason why the next chapter is going to be quite long (the longest chapter to date) is that it's basically going to be 3 weeks worth of regular story updates put into one. But of course, much longer since the estimate amount of words I go for per chapter is about 6K. So 6,000 times by 3 is of course, 18,000. (Dat math.) So, that's the regular updates.
Now hold on a second, didn't I say that the next chapter is almost 20k words? Yes. Yes I did. I plan to make the drinking part to be funny and worth the wait. I'll also be writing the 'Recovery' chapter a little while after posting (will most likely get started a day or so after the next chapter.)
Sorry for the big ass blog post. But heck, I wanted to let you guys I'm not forgetting about the story and I guess some news about it is better than none. Right?

I guess I could do that. I'll try to make it into around 3-4 chapters but will post them at the same time. That way, people can choose if they want to read one after another or wait a while until they read the next one.
And for "Just an idea.", you made a good point.

Fair enough, I'll try to keep the chapters around 6,000 words. If they happen to breach 10k words then I'll make it a two parter.
