I still need an editor · 11:59pm May 26th, 2012
I've already asked for one but haven't gotten any interest. I'm working on a story. Right now I have well over 8,000 words. I can't even imagine how many it will have when it's finished. I write about 700 - 1,000 words an hour. That means I haven't spent that much time on this story, despite the fact that I started it weeks ago.
I really need to pick up the pace. I've vowed to devote at least some time to it every day.
Thing is, I already have enough material to publish the first chapter, and then the second. But I can't, or rather won't, because no one will look it over and comment. I absolutely refuse to expose it to the public until I have that at the very least.
Before this I wanted to write a crossover fic where Twilight Sparkle in friends go to Gotham City to fight crime with Batman. As much as I would have liked to write that, I couldn't think of a truly coherent plot, just a few scenes I wanted to happen that I never ended up stringing together. So that probably won't happen anytime soon.
This story is brutal and bloody, but it's my child and I won't abandon it. I suppose if no one else thinks it's worth writing, then I'll just do the best editing job I can on my own and expose it to everyone. I sort of hope it doesn't come to that though.
Until then I'm just going to keep writing.
