Well, the Fall of Equestria blog got taken down again. Most likely by the Tumblr feminists...
Heh, quite strange, i've always noticed. I put up my femdom slavery misandry fanfic and it fills with likes, but a genderflipped version gets drowned in negativity. How odd... It could just be because FoE is pretty much the epitome of evil compared to my misandric series (Brainwashing etc)
Just feel like posting this, really... When I think of Fall of Equestria... It sort of reminds me of 1984? To those that don't know what 1984 was, google it. Old British author writing about a horribly evil dictatorship, almost as a warning to the world to not go down that path.
In equivalent, my fanfic and FoE work to show Misandry and Misogyny whenever they appear. Whenever I see something misogynist, I think of Fall of Equestria... It makes it more... Clear, I guess. The Caribou are definitely the villains, and it makes the very concept hit much harder home... In FoE, the mane six, princesses, everypony is enslaved by the Caribou. Hell, there are some elements of 1984 for even the stallions, with constant brainwashing...
All of the characters we see enslaved and abused in the series... It isn't just faceless porn. It has a story. And, most importantly, we know these characters. The enslaved, abused, and in some cases brainwashed (or even with reduced intelligence) characters we see in the series aren't just faceless porn characters. We know them. Mares we have grown to love, associate with, and hold close... Ceaselessly abused.
It's almost poetic in a way. The story just has that blend of 'punch-you-in-the-face', combined with hotness and morbid curiosity. Hell, you could even see it as feminist literature, showing a dystopia of patriarchy.
If you previously hated the series, I hope that this post has perhaps changed your outlook on it. Heh, just spontaniously wanted to write an essay on the philosophical impact of FoE... Comment your opinion below.
