Revision help · 5:02pm Apr 23rd, 2014
So I'm about to do my end of year exams (I know they're not near the end but that's just how my school rolls) in 2 weeks (it's in almost every subject (I have 18 subjects)) and we were given 2 weeks notice to revise. Because I am hopeless at life I need to revise a lot and was hoping that maybe one of you would have some tips for revision. I should be fine in most (almost (not at all but... I got nothing)) except for the languages (French and German). I'm telling you this because I think revision for them might be different. I'm just asking for you to comment any revision tips. And yes, I have watched the Rainbow Dash revision history thing loads of times (I watched it first on the day when I found out about the test). Sadly though this means that I won't be on here much except in the rare spare moments that I need to let my brain recover from dying. Here's a nice song for your troubles
I'm taking French too so what do you think will be on the test for French?
well to be fair you're probably on a very different level (as in you're almost certainly better) but depending on your level (say you're doing A level French) then you probably will have to research a hotly debated very contradictable topic and write an essay/debate about it in French probably a short story or translation. As you can see I know my A level tests, I'm just guessing these and honestly I have no idea. What revision types work for you?
P.S. Since my friend has decided to be incredibly anti-social on here and can't be bothered to write a short sentence I will badger her tomorrow during school and quote her.
2042543 I usually have to do a translation into French or have to make sentences based on pictures so I usually use a website called conjuguemos which helps my conjugate verbs in all tenses. But for the words themselves I use my textbook which can be a pain because I have way to much vocab that we've learned so far.
2043291 from now on for all my language books i will make a dictionary at the back so when it comes to the tests I can just look at that only problem: we have an infinite amount of words that even the 'extra detailed' textbooks don't include, then again they don't include the word time; I suggest that you try doing the dictionary thing, so you can that way you have all the vocabulary and you don't need the textbooks much. So my friends just said when I asked her about the prank (for the 15th time) get ready it's amazing: 'Ugh... Potato. Worship holy potatoes. Ughh... Larry!' and then ran off. To be fair I took some poetic licence so it wasn't exactly that but I got the spirit of it. She was really spacey because she couldn't get to sleep and spent most of yesterday revising. I'll give you 3 guesses how old she is judging by that response. Just for the record she's older than me.
2045830 somewhere between 15 and 20 I would think
2047472 No... First she's only seven months older than me, second we're still in key-stage 3. But I admit for some reason online people always assume that we're (me and her) are older than we are, but all our other classmates online are thought to be younger than they are. However sometimes in real life people think that we're 16/18 (I don't know how). Anyway, sorry for rambling I''m just trying to put off German revision.
2048247 my friend is waaayyy shorter that me but I'm still younger by about a year. I can get confusing.
2049179 one of my friends is like 6 inches shorter than me but there's only a gap of 17 days (she's older) her birthday is in Mid-April. To be fair at our age height is kinda weird depending on when you started puberty I doubt you want any more detail on that tangent. But overall out maturity and height doesn't really depend on our age yet.
2049579 yea I can see that kind of stuff everywhere at my school. I'm 5 10 so I see a lot of kids shorter than me but one of my other friends is 6 2 so he's a bit tall
2050042 my best friend (the one who's seven months older) is already above average height in some countries but in England right on average. So when walking around school even she sometimes towers over the shorter teachers. e.g.The RS teacher, everyone is taller than her.
